Joy is happy right about now. Know why? NO MORE WORK FOR THREE DAYS! Count 'em - THREE. Today was my ninth straight day at work, and the last like four days have been long hours so I am beyond ready to be off. I swear I don't want to do anything or go anywhere until Monday. Well, I have to go get my check tomorrow and I think I might rent Knowing but that's it. Period.

Besides I have to catch up with the Luau. It's day four and I've only written for the first day. Too much work scares the muse away, methinks. Sigh. But even if I don't get something for both the days I missed I'll at least have this weekend free to work on the ones coming up. Cause my Queen day is next week and I'll feel bad requesting anything if I'm all behind, you know. :P

Okay, now I'm off to drink some more cherry Kool-Aid and listen to music and try to write Jack/Boone. I've never tried to write either of them before, so wish me luck.

PS, "Blue Monday" by Orgy? Pretty much the best song ever. Ah, it kind of makes me feel like I'm in junior high again. ;D

Last night I watched the second Torchwood episode... and I continue to be stunned at how good this show suddenly is. If this is the result of RTD leaving Who to work more on Torchwood, then I fucking approve. These episodes aren't "well, better than the others!" or "they had some neat character stuff!" or "they don't completely suck, which is something!" These are honest-to-goodness SOLID EPISODES OF TELEVISION. With characters I care about. A plot where I want to know what happens next. Writing with actual realistic nuances.

I'm just... wow. I'm stunned.

I'd've watched the third episode too, but I ended up distracting myself by hanging out with Larry instead. He played me a song from the Heathers musical -- but apparently "I will play you ONE song!" is much like saying "Let's go out for ONE drink!" (see: last Tuesday with Coworker S). It never stops at just one.

I am so ridiculously excited for this show. I mean, I love Legally Blonde. I really do. But as good as it was, it never had that dark, sly, tragic/hilarious Something that Bat Boy had. This? Does. You guys. SO EXCITED.

Right now, I am running on very little sleep, the memory of the scale showing me a nice number this morning, and my usual concoction of chai, hot chocolate, and soy milk.

Ooh. Maybe I will seek out Torchwood icons. I especially need one of Gwen. And perhaps Ianto.

It's weird when you think you know someone, and you think they're a terrific person, but then your opinion of them changes based on the people they're close to...

Oh well. My fault for being out of the loop. I've BEEN out of the loop. I think it's time for a friends cut, seriously. This way I can keep my friends list manageable and actually stay in -A- loop.

OK, well I accomplished getting my oil changed yesterday and they even washed my car! Can't get the bank statement to balance at work though! Doesn't that figure! As much crap as I do at work, I'm mainly a total retard outside of work. I feel like a weed in a flower garden.

But, to make me feel much better, gotta look at some more of my faves!
